Do you want to improve your performance in sport?

Do you want to regain your form?
Are you looking to consistantly perform at your best?
Would you like to gain that extra winning edge?

Mind and Body

You may spend a lot of time working on your technique and physical training, but is something missing? Your mind and body are not separate entities, to work successfully they need to function as one complete unit. If your mind is not focused or harbours any doubts, then you may not get the results that you want. Perhaps you have experienced some of the following, preventing you from giving your best performance:

  • A bad result starts to prey on your mind, making you perform badly which then impacts negatively on your confidence. Through hypnotherapy we look at any lessons that can be learned from the experience, removing negative thoughts and enabling you to regain your form.

  • You find yourself over anxious before a major event and your nerves get the better of you. Hypnotherapy is used to control excess stress, so you have just the right amount of nervous tension for you to give your best performance.

  • In the past you have had success, but you just don't seem able to get back to that level. In hypnosis you are taken back to those resourceful states, so that you can use them in future events.

  • When you are playing or competing you lose focus or you are distracted. Hypnosis is a focused state of attention and this can be utilised to improve your game. The general perception of hypnosis is that it is a relaxed state with your eyes closed, however there is also alert hypnosis. An example of this is when you are driving your car along a familiar route and you arrive at your destination without remembering details of the trip. Throughout the journey you have made turns, adjusted your speed and been aware of other traffic but you have done all of this automatically. In a sporting event using alert hypnosis you can tap into this automatic resource allowing you to focus on being in the winning "zone".

  • You think that you can win but you don't have the 100% belief that you can. Hypnotherapy provides that extra confidence to give you that winning edge.
